About

A gaming site for people who read past the score

Proudly Gamer covers PC and console games, the hardware that runs them, and the industry that keeps deciding how much they should cost. We are small, independent, and we would rather publish one piece that holds up than six that do not.

Why this site exists

Games coverage has a structural problem. The publications with the resources to test properly are often the ones most dependent on the companies they cover, and the independent voices with nothing to lose usually cannot afford a capture card, let alone three graphics cards to compare.

We are trying to sit in the awkward middle. That means fewer articles, longer ones, and a willingness to spend two weeks on a piece about frame pacing that will get a fraction of the traffic of a leak roundup.

How we test

Every performance claim comes from a run we did ourselves, on hardware we describe, with the settings listed. We report 1% lows alongside averages, we note the driver version, and we say when a result was not reproducible. If a benchmark comes from someone else, it is credited and linked.

What we will not do

No review copies in exchange for a tone. No sponsored posts dressed as editorial. No generative AI writing the articles, because if we could not be bothered to write it, you should not be expected to read it.

The Weekly Save

One email. Every Friday. No filler.

We will never sell your address. That is not a promise, it is just bad business.
